IMAGES DOWNUNDER

I suspect you're all caught into the maelstrom of holiday preparations as am I with my extended family, so I'm only dropping in to say hello and posting a bit of local color before scurrying off to the mall to continue my festive yuletide foraging. May I just say that foraging is actually more challenging in the heat? For some reason, I can't quite believe it's Christmas. This whole thing reminds me of that old song 'Christmas in July'. Anyway, it's too hot for such revelry: 88 degrees these days and nearly just as warm at night. All my northern friends, consider this: a 'barbi on the beach' on Christmas day (not to mention the possibility of watching a blue-tongue lizard from the back deck). All very surreal. My southern hemisphere friends are only rolling their eyes thinking 'welcome to our reality'!
