KNITALY IN PICTURES, PART THREE: Food, color, scenery and wonderful people with whom to share all…

All Shades Beautiful...
Well, I'm home now and though I sway a little with jetlag-induced dislocation, my senses still brim with Italy. I scrambled out to the grocery store this morning only to find myself staring at the offerings morosely. What, no sheep cheese? No freshly-picked mushrooms? No best, freshest, most delicious? How will I ever survive? And, somehow, despite multiple servings of incredibly delicious meals, I don't think I've gained much more than a pound, which, I suspect, is composed of 80% gelatto.
We walked and walked, all uphill, as I recall. Though logic tells me that where there's an up a down must follow, I don't remember that part.
More pictures follow randomly chosen from the hundreds I accumulated. Over the next few weeks I'll be be preparing a new Knitaly Trip page outlining next year's intinerary using my new photo stash.

Shades of Tuscan Plum in Judith's creation

Jackie Struts her stuff...a study in rich purple and ripening gold (special posting on Jackie&Jane in Venice to come)

Joyce, who generously helped me out with Italian countless times, stands before a castillo winery

Barbara looks gorgeous in Prada. Yes, Barbara, you DO take a great picture! (special posting on Knitaly&Prada to come)

Angelita on the patio of her little cottage

Lenita's gathering of Tuscan roses...

Louanne's Tuscan rose shawl poses with its inspiration
I asked my Knitalyers during the trip what events/situations/scenarios or places were their highlights and everyone had a different answer. Several told me that the knitting workshops were absolute joy to them while others cite visiting Nora and her kids at the Chianti Cashmere Goat farm as their Best Of moment (a special posting on that follows, too).
Our hotel lobby...

Mother and daughter, Dana and Betty, share a knitting moment

Dining Alfresco at Chianti Cashmere...(there's a story behind this...)

The Knitaly07 gang stand before Gargonza on our last day
And here's the thing: I'm missing everybody. We've all dispersed to our homes or ongoing vacations but I miss our laughter and our knitting talk and our frenzied forages in the yarn shops and easy companionship in between.
More to come...
