KNITALY07—PHOTOS FROM THE FRONT

Our knitting room...the garden at the Castillo di Gargonza
We have now arrived at the Castillo Gargonza and are spending sunny days eating, knitting, strolling through art and history while asking one another whether we can believe the breathing reality of this dream come true. As I post this from the lobby, random acts of knitting are in progress throughout the castillo. In the garden, by the wall overlooking the valley, on private patios and living rooms and in our official knitting room, like-minded knitters are unfolding things of beauty in an environment of easy companionship and ancient beauty.
Today Maria and Mario, recently retired from Prada, joined us (pictures coming!) to reveal the sectrets of couturier craftsmanship. We donned leather scarves festooned in semi-precious stones, carried beaded purses into the sunshine for our photos and otherwise shared, laughed and connected.
Can I express our collective Knitaly experience so far? Utterly, completely bellissimo!
