INSPIRED KNITTING

Winter Wonderland wrap by Ravelry's 'fibredoodle', Julie from Doncaster, UK
So many glorious projects unfold in the project page in the Janethornley group in Ravelry that it's hard to pick a favorite. In fact, I simply can't. I love them all, just differently. Throughout the holidays I 've decided to highlight a few of the many glorious creations worked in the free-range, multi-yarn style, starting with a few recent Feather & Fan Organic wraps. This, the most knit design of all my non-patterns, always unfolds in ways unique to its owner, be it through color, yarn choice, or stitch composition. This one, Julie's (Fiberdoodle on Ravelry) Winter Wonderland wrap is aptly named. Even the way in which she lined up her feather & fans remind sme of the crystaline structure of snowflakes.
And this one, of an entirely different design and mood, is from the needles of Melissa Plank who worked a capelet for the 'Knit Your Fairy' KAL in my Ravelry group which resulted in this totally magical creation. Doesn't it just capture the fantasy and spirit of the fey?

As we move into the year ahead, I'm hoping many more will join me on a spirited creative adventure through my Inspired Knitter's Club. Let the adventure begin!
