HOME: FAVORITE SPOT ON THE ITINERARY

I’m finally back in the state of home. my favorite place in the world. Over the past month I’ve journeyed to Venice, Barcelona, Debrovnik, Corfu, Santorini, Argistoli, Pompei, Rome, Florence, the Mediterranean coast of Spain, England’s Peak District and London—all among some of the world’s most interesting and vibrant places yet I would not trade the quiet pool of domesticity I call home for any other place right now. And not, perhaps, for a few months to come.
In truth, I craved the sweet, woodsy trail of my front steps even while climbing up and around the dizzying heights of Santorini on a most perfect Mediterranean day and longed for the quiet, leaf-strewn surface of my river pool even while skimming across Venice’s grand, mysterious, canals. All the tapas in Spain couldn’t compete with my back-deck barbecues nor could the stunning art gracing the walls of Europe’s galleries and churches ensorcel me as much as the vibrant autumn display I left behind at home.
Don't worry, all these fabulous sights will seep into my imagination over the months to come as I share my stories and all the colors I've collected. Many will manifest in designs—I feel them brewing! The images, the impressions and the memories are stored thanks to the miracle of combined imagination and technology but, for now, all I want is the benign, humble and an unpretentious. I want home.
Besides, I missed my stash…but wait until I show you my new additions.
