BORN AGAIN CREATIVITY

I'll be in Toronto the weekend of April 5th participating in this showcase of 25 Canadian art-to-wear designers! If
you're in the area, come see us at the Old Mill Inn.

Look closely, Geke's beautiful wrap evolves from the back of an ancient dolemen in the Netherlands
I am an absolute believer that anyone can be creative. If you've ever played as a child, you're creative, too. Or, used to be. Adulthood with all its responsibilities, obligations, regulations, left-brained thinking, list-making and form-filling (not of the underwear variety), often buries this magic alive. If you listen very carefully, you can just hear the sound of something craving to make, to do, to give birth to something beautiful, gasping for breath deep in the center of your being. What are you doing to your little voice?
You may think that, as a responsible adult, you should be stuffing it back down into that dark hole called reality and piling great heaps of 'must do's' over top. Shame on you! That's creaticide! Imagine what the world would be like should mass acts of creaticide be allowed to transform the world into something dried up, uninvenful, unsurprizing, unbeautiful, and just plain UN?
It's up to each individual, in the name of all that's good and true, to nurture that creative seed and create something beautiful, lovely, interesting, intriquing, because every act of beauty is a gift to the world, a positive act that refreshes and renews. In honor of spring, pick up those needles and start knitting into the flow. Allow your creativity a little room. You may be very surprised by what you can give birth to.
For inspiration , here's some photos from the Culture Fusion knitalong where creativity has been given wings!
