AND THE WINNER IS: THE GREENS OF GIVERNY

Giverny: Monet's Garden
Inspired by limpid pools sailing in a subtle wash of green, the Greens of Giverny has won the Culture Fushion wrap contest. Liz from Charlotte, North Carolina who goes by the handle 'Jockeygal' on Ravelry, took her inspiration from Monet's garden and captured the fall of willow, the reflective hues of green upon green beautifully in this gorgeous wrap.

A still life: Wrap on Chair with Knitaly Book!

How to wear this thing of beauty (Ps: note the willow leaves!)
And, second prize winner is Susan Barnhorst from Comfort, Texas, who says: The sfb on Ravelry is the playground of Susan Barnhorst and her two reasons for being: husband Bill and daughter Wendy Solberg. Hardly any project is ever completed by only one of us - all are involved in some dimension to a major degree.
Bill has (to his chagrin) evolved into the finisher for all projects - including picot edging, etc.
Wendy is the truly gifted one - has had a needle of some sort in her hands since age 3, majored in Art History with a minor in Folk something and is an executive for a large hospital conglomerate after getting her Master's in Public Health Administration - no stretch there, folks!
Susan is the plodder - not a glimmer of creativity but a perfectionist so is very happy with the non-free-form projects but came out of the darkness with the Jane Thornley inspiration.
Jane's Culture Fushion Wrap was the best time we ever had with a project - from choosing yarns to watching it develop, choosing beads for embellishments (Bill also makes lampwork beads), and photographing along the way. We're waiting for the next Jane KAL to begin.
We live in the Hill Country of Texas where inspiration from nature is always in sight - rural life does have its charms (but limited shopping so thank heavens for the internet).
What an honor to have gotten second place in the KAL with the caliber of the people who participated and created individual masterpieces!
Regards,
Susan

Congratulations go to all participants! We agree there were no losers in this: everyone enjoyed the process and revelled in the community that gather around the 'well' to discuss our creative journeys. And, oh, what things of beauty have emerged.
As I post this, the Ravelry server is acting on and I can't log in to gather more details about our winners. I'll update later with more info.
