KNITALY—THE BOOK: Knitaly, an Adventure in Knitting

At last, my book.
I would hesitate to call this a pattern book, though it has eight detailed patterns, and I wouldn't call it a travel guide, though I write about Tuscany. This is more of an adventure in Tuscan inspiration, a plunge into la dolce vita with color and texture as much an expression of the good life as food and beautiful scenery. Every design begins with color taken from the Tuscan countryside, a combination of hues which translate into a fiber feast for knitterly enjoyment. Read about how I pay homage to Siena, the revered city of golden brown, or the way in which olive groves and rolling fields can be knit into a wrap. Or, see how a shady grotto can be transformed into a silken fall of moss and stone for a very special scarf.
If you can dream it, you can knit it.

Sample pages from the book...

Among the patterns: a loose vest which can we worn belted or free; a cardigan with a vest option; a top which can be made into a dramatic wrap; a jacket which could grow into a coat; two wraps, and a scarf which could grace the neck of a Renaissance cortier or a biker chick with equal aplomb. What began as five patterns, developed into 8+.
Check in April for sale details. I will have a link to purchase available from my website and anticipate the book will be available online fromBorders and Amazon by late spring.
