I like the idea of the purses, especially the tote. When I'm travelling, I wind a ball of yarn of all different yarns, in a particular color combination, so I have the variety but not the bulk. I've heard others call them surprise yarn or mystery yarn. Good for scarves... or knit in strips for bigger things. call it serendipity free range knitting? I usually have one to use on the plane and one ball in my suitcase or carryon for the return trip. I can't stand being without something to do.
