Jane, it's lovely to hear my everyday world described through the eyes of a newcomer....it makes me look at things afresh. Looking forward to meeting you in Sydney shortly.

I have missed your posts. I could certainly use a lorikeet inspired free range design. Magenta, citric limeaide green, french blue, red. I can see it now....

Hi Jane, just discovered your blog today and what a co-incidence, you're coming to (in?) Australia. You may have discovered this already, but there is no knitting on domestic flights in Australia. For some reason, we apparently can't be trusted with knitting needles on planes. Obviously a big risk of stabbing! Who knew we knitting women were such a violent bunch. Beware the Gold Coast if you should happen to be going there. "Schoolies Week" (which in fact goes for a good few weeks),is in full swing, when many of those who have just finished high school go there to "let their hair down". Hope you have a fantastic time here.

I don't think you look stunned; I think you look sort of serene and hopeful and mysterious, like you are searching out to sea for a ship, perhaps one bearing rainbow silks from China... ...and I would never let go of myhat in Hawai'i; the trade winds will blow it to Costa Rica!

Jane you look so familiar. You don't have a sister living up here in Yellowknife do you? Janet MF
