I might have fallen overboard but I'll be waiting on shore with a bottle of cyber champagne for you all and a big cheer. Well done to the new mate !

It must be geode love! I have a few around here somewhere too. Great idea for a pattern! I can't go on a walk without bringing home rocks. Timely update Jane! I have been slowing down at 8 inches, thinking there must be a neck in there somewhere! I was planning on picking up the back until the next posting. Would a 10 inch plus (a few more inches for neck to shoulder) look too over-sized on a size 10 frame? I like loose, but not huge. We have been on this voyage for a long while now. I have some other projects that I will return to, but when we do finish, I will be happy for the long anticipated book to fill that sense of emptiness.

It does look like a geode! I love those things. The new kid is good AND has an eye for color. Thanks so much for the update! I'd have been at 15 inches and THEN thought about a neck. I get a bit enthused once I pick up the needles for this.

Thanks to all for the compliments. When I first started, it looked muddy awful, so I give credit to Jane for leading me to the light! It takes a little courage to "paint" the colors on, but once you get the idea, they just want to find their own way. I am now about two inches into the sleeve. I'd be further, but I am stealing moments away from working on my taxes. Ooh, ...ohh! ...Bad taste in my mouth!

Lovely work, Mardi! I'm sure you're much further along by now.
