My Little Vest-A-Long: the story continues

My little vest gets it's first experience with the sun
Sorry to be a day late in continuing with our vest-a-long but my allergies knocked me out of commission yesterday. Nevermind, I am back in the game and bringing you the next installment. Here is where we are now: fronts and backs semi-complete with the whole ensemble waiting for custom fitting.
As you can see from Headless Hilda above, the vest is close to completion but in no way finished. Don't despair if your vest doesn't fit yet. It's not supposed to. We have the sides to do next, then the front panels, and, finally, the bottom edge. Note how short mine is. Actually, I do like a shorter vest on me. Being busty, I can camoflage mountainous ranges by having cover-ups end at my waist but you know best what works for you. The other thing to remember is that it's sometimes best to try things on before making final decisions regarding length and width since all fabrics, included knitted ones, drape differently on different bodies.
In any case, you now should have two fronts and a back ready for the next step: the sides. Don your vest to decide how many inches you feel you'll need for the sides. Tomorrow's installement will show you how to knit your sides.

Hi Jane I love all your designs and your website is wonderful. Is it too late to get in on this Vest-A-Long? or do you have another A-Long coming up that I could get going? I've just jumped in here so not quite sure how it works. I am now going to search through all your links and tabs for all the treasures in there! Thank you Luna
