MY LITTLE FREE_RANGE VEST KNITALONG: PT:5
Pardon for the lack of stellar photography but, once again, it's raining so my light is some what eclipses. Still, I'm hoping you get the gist of where your little free-range vest is heading. by way of illustration, I doned my emerging vest on Headless Hilda so you can see where the fronts will fall. I've worked about another 6 inches since last posting while still casting on at the neckline every 4th row. I then draped the piece over my own body to see how far I should keep increasing. Since it hits just above by chest and has a nice vee-neckline, I'm going to work straight from here on with no further increases. The sides are yet to come, remember, so these fronts need only reach the proper width from shoulder edge to shoulder edge and we have the front bands to add, too.
From here it's just a matter of working until the length matches the back while working whatever stitch combo you choose. As you can see, I worked in a little gold and will now complete the bottom half of one front. After that, you'll need to make the opposite side. When next I returb, the two fronts will be complete and we'll move onto the next installment.
So, how are you coming along?
