TAOS RISING

Taos Rising

The colors of the Southwest just happen to be autumn colors, my colors—the burnt oranges, tarnished yellows, rusty riffs and currents of turquoise that have always drawn me in a come-hither song. So, when I readied myself for a knitting retreat feathuring the feather & fan, I just had to plunge into a Toas-inspired wrap. Here's what unfolded:

This variation of the Feather&Fan Organic wrap follows the same recipe as the Celestial Blue Wrap featured in the July newsletter. This time I highlighed  a loose feather&fan stitchery with orange blending into yellow along the wrap's front to evoke the rising desert sun. The picot edging is pure Mango Moon using their yummy silk ribbon which forms the nubbly, most stunning picots all along the front edge. The colors completely alter the mood of the piece. If Celestial Blue was air married to water, this is definnately earth playing with fire.

What's the flip side of KNIT? (4 character(s) required) Answer:

I can hear hundreds of red rocks whispering in my ear...GO WEST!!! I think you have captured a moment in time from the Southwest Spirits, with just the right amount of turquoise sky for good measure. How beautiful!! May it wrap you in its magic.

Recent Comments love it. Another stunner. I can think of many dragon color ranges from my boys pokemon card collecting days! Blues eyes White Dragon was everyone's favorite.
