TAOS MOOD BOARDING

MOOD BOARD TAOS
A new vacation-inspired knitalong has begun in my Ravelry group, initiated by Mardi, aka 'Puddlejumper'. The theme? Knit a piece inspired by your favorite vacation destination. Well, I have so many, where do I begin? But decided to return to my most recent heart place, Taos and the Santa Fe area. To begin, I scaped together a little 'mood board' using the Mood Board ap on my new IPAD (yes, I love technology as yet another way to play with color and form). The color choice came so easily…I only need to look in my stash. The photo used came from one I took on the upper level of the Mabel Luhan Lodge which looks out over Taos Pueblo land to a scene painted by Georgia O'Keefe. Hanging in the upper left-hand corner you will spy the wall hanging I worked on during my class last May and there it is all together, the Taos Mood Board guiding me forward on my next knitting adventure.

Hi Jane, read about you at Nicola's blog - such a great things you're doing with this kind of free-knitting! I used to knit a lot when I was a teenager This winter I started to knit with very old selfspinned wool and combined it with my felt into a jacket. Seeing your work inspires me to torn some of my eco-dyed silk and make some of it. Thanks, Dorie
