After receiving many requests from those who'd like to receive the club membership as a gift this holiday, the club has gone live! To subscribe, just click on the button to the right which takes you to the club subscription page. All memberships will receive the Winter Evocative Knitting immediately after sign up with the first subscription posting to come in January.

Inspiration is energy, the energy that fuels creativity, the energy that brings something new into being. That something fresh might be an idea, a piece of knitting or even a cake. It doesn't matter. The very act of moving forward is itself inspirational. It's stasis that drags us down.

Here, on the edge of a new year, I find myself re-thinking inspiration. For me it's the root of happiness and the ability to find joy in the smallest of things. Only how can I help encourage this fire in others, help reveal the possibilities? In knitterly terms that means more, more than what I have currently the scope to do in my newsletters or even here on my blog. I need to provide more photographs, more depth, more tips, explorations, techniques, ideas, even a few of the interesting, inspiring stories and photographs I've gleaned on my travels. From this stew of glowing luminescence, comes opportunities to knit something fabulous, to explore a new color and stitch techniques, to fuel an individual's own creative journey.

So, come January, I'm launching the Inspired Knitter's Club, a true club keyed to light a knitter's muse. The club will include monthly PDF mailings packed with inspiration of all kinds plus knitting recipes and color explorations. Members will received a choice of two guides, either choosing from the three currently published (Feather&Fan Club, Knit a Beach or Summer Knitting Guide) or two from the ones coming out in the next six months, including January's new Winter Forest Guide seen below plus much more.

Love that!

Hi Jane! This idea of yours to have a knitting club is wonderful. Not all of us want to be on Facebook and Twitter and the "old fashioned" way of joining an online club is much more appealing. You might even charge for people to join so that it would be worth your while. I know I would love to get a monthly newsletter and instructions and have a place to log on and look at pictures and see what you are up to. I guess Ravelry kind of works that way but it doesn't come to me and I have to remember to go check on what the group is doing. Your pictures are fantastic and keep me inspired for days. It is always interesting to hear about your travels and your stories. So if you are wondering what we think, here is one reader who can't wait! Dedri

Recent Comments love it. Another stunner. I can think of many dragon color ranges from my boys pokemon card collecting days! Blues eyes White Dragon was everyone's favorite.
