Live from Morocco: Tuareg Blue

Tuareg blue, a nomadic indigo
Here I am in Marrakesh on what we're planning to be the first annual Moroccan excursion. We love it here and so will you so maybe you can plan to join us next year. In the meantime, let's talk Tuarey blue…
The host people here in Marrakesh are the Berbers, hospitable and brilliant artisans in their own right. They are also skilled traders, driving into the desert to bring back rugs, jewelry, pottery and metalwork from other tribes to sell in the shops. The Tuareg people, a nomadic tribe of the deep Sahara, often referred to as 'the Blue men of the desert', are known for their jewelry, in particular. And that blue. Look at it, how vibrant can a blue get without being sky high? This is one of the hues chosen for our knitting/crocheting explorations here in Marrakesh this month.
