Greetings Jane, I have lived in Taos, New Mexico for 10 years. My family and I just last year moved to the Pacific Northwest. I enjoyed your story of Taos. It is a very magical place. I do suggest that you plan a trip to Taos in the fall...the first weekend in October for the Taos Wool Festival. It is AMAZING! And don't fret...just about anyplace you eat in Taos is fantastic...Let me know if you'd like a little local insight in places to eat or shops to visit. What a fantastic trip! I would also highly recommend a trip to the Taos Wool Festival, it was always the highlight of my 10 years in New Mexico.
