KNIT A BEACH VEST PATTERN AND DESIGN WORKBOOK POSTED

fitted_version_400

A virtual workshop by the sea

The water’s warm so let’s knit a beach. If you can dream it, you can knit it. Learn how to knit with an extensive guide rather than a just standard pattern with this evocative knitting workshop. 40 pages of diagrams, photos, instructions, ideas, tips, and inspiration will guide you to knit this adaptable, beachy, little vest. Combined with the knitalong launching on June 18th, and you'll have all you need to knit your own private beach minus the sunblock, the gas-guzzling car ride or sand in your sandwiches.

Can't make June 18th? No worries: the knitalong pages will remain posted so you can always refer back to them once you begin.

The project vest has two styling options—fitted or tabard (a loose, open-sided slimmer perfect for ample proportions)—but I bet you won't want to knit just one.

This is the same project we'll be working on at the real Knit A Beach retreat here in Nova  Scotia this August but for those of you that can't join me in the flesh, here's a virtual excursion.

The Knitalong will be running both in Ravelry and on my knitalong site here website. If you'd prefer a paper copy to a PDF download, Earth Faire has printed versions for sale here:

Experience combining simple stitches to create textures that evoke the blue sea frothed with ocean latte and sand hues of a summer beach.

Create a vest/tabard design so gorgeous you won’t want to knit just one. Make yours either fitted or loose and easy or apply the techniques used to another pattern maybe even your own design.

Come on – dive in!

On June 18th, a beach-a-long starts both on my website here website and here on Ravelry Beach along here.

Recent Comments love it. Another stunner. I can think of many dragon color ranges from my boys pokemon card collecting days! Blues eyes White Dragon was everyone's favorite.
