Jane and the Podcast

jane_does_podcasts_400

Yes, that somewhat deranged woman you see above is me. Actually, methinks I have every right to look dranged seeing as I have been talking to myself all day. Say what? I'm preparing a podcast, my first, and busily climbing the steep learning curve, hand over hand, to reach the top. That startled face you see has been captured by the camera on my laptop as I begin to record my first podcast for the Inspired Knitters Club. Eventually, I'll be going the video route, too, but for now I thought to think big but start small.

Here's what I've learned: to record a podcast besides a bit of basic software all you need do is talk, talk!  I can do that! In fact, I'm learning that I can quite happily babble about anything especially where yarn, color, texture, travel, yarn, knitting and more travel are concerned. Oh, and anything concerning inspiration such as where to find it, how to feed it and the general care and maintenance thereof.

So, today, I sat before my laptop and talked and talked, or so it seemed. Not for a moment did I find it awkward or odd spewing away to myself in an otherwise empty house. What this says about me doesn't matter. I used to talk to myself as a child, too, and apparently had an imaginary friend keep me company. These days, I just imagine all of you listening  (or not) while I cheerily chat along.

Next, I'll be addoing voice-overs to photo shows and do up a little ipod app. See Jane have fun!

What's the flip side of KNIT? (4 character(s) required) Answer:

Oh, how fun! I can't wait to hear it. I love knitting related podcasts.

Hooray! So when do we get to hear it?

It is now ok to talk to yourself, once it was frowned upon and you may have been labelled as "weird" but it seems that everything weird is "normal" these days. Jane I must confess I even talk to my car (or it seems that I do) as I merrily drive along via "on line" phone. Just think years ago we would have been locked up for such "weirdness". Have fun and I am looking forward to your first podcast.

:-) :-) :-) See what "babbling" can be good for!

Recent Comments love it. Another stunner. I can think of many dragon color ranges from my boys pokemon card collecting days! Blues eyes White Dragon was everyone's favorite.
