IN PRAISE OF BLACK & SILVER

Silver, black & gold sea leavings
I love color. You know it, I show it. No hue is eliminated from my love-fest, including the (technincally-speaking) absence of color: black. Black is the perfect backdrop for diva color as well as a slimming, light-sucking, wearable camoflage for bulges, large and small. No curvacious or otherwise ambundantly-proportioned woman goes without something black in her closet. Then there's the little black dress followed by the little black wardrobe. I also adore black because of it's inherent sense of mystery.

But I never knew that seaweed came in black. Who knew? Well, someone obviously did but not I. In any case, I made this discovery while clambering over the shoreline of Moonstone Beach, Cambria, in California last week. I also found some pretty incredible tide pools hosting magnificent sea flowers.
