Dining alfresco in Mahone Bay on our Port O'Stitches outing on July

I co-hosted the first Urban Cadre last July in Halifax with Ilga Leja surrounded by Fleece Artist yarns and just had my second in San Francisco this September with Art Fibers. Wow, what a response!  The success was so overwhelming that I've booked both locations again for 2013 plus more cadres are forming as I write. I am setting up a new page on my web site for Urban Cadres but will also update in my newsletters, too. Since I'm on my way to Turkey this week, I won't have time to get all the details up until my return. In the meantime, this is what's on the books for next year:

URBAN CADRES:

February 2013: Sarasota, Florida ( yarn shop partner to be announced)

July 2013: Halifax, Nova Scotia with Fleece Artist and Ilga Leja as special guest

September: 2013 Vancouver, BC, with yarn & silk ribbon company to be announced (Yes! wait until you see this one!)

Late September 2013: San Francisco and Art Fibers  (see photos above for some of this year's moments.

FULL KNITTING/FIBER EXCURSIONS:

Florence and Tuscany (KNITALY) - May 3rd - 12th 2013

Recent Comments I am delighted to find that you also write. I've been following your knitting site and was so happy that your novel is about an angel in New Orleans, well, maybe not "about" an angel, but it's in the title, so... I've visited New Orleans several times (Just 3) visiting my brother when he lived there and we combed through the cemeteries. That's where I found the angel who was sobbing with her head covered in grief for the passing of her sister. It was so moving that I have the photo framed in our hall. She's beautiful. Couldn't wait to order your book! Thanks!
