Turkey: the Textile Feast
How do we decide?
It's the eve of our Silk Road Turkey excursion and here Mary and Carole face a pile of gorgeous silk pashimas in the grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Do we choose from the hand-embroidered silk over cashmere, the pure silk weaves ,or what? Decisions! We're a little overwhelmed but at least the apple tea our host serves helps keep the wheels lubricated.
And then there's the pottery…
And the gleaming glass lanterns cast a magic luminescence across the halls…
