THE AUTUMN KNIT ALONG: Inspiration brews stunning results

KNIT A PEAK WALLHANGING
The knitalongs running in my group  on Ravelry draw simply the most incredibly supportive community of knitters I have ever witnessed. We encourage each other to break free, to explore color and texture with a passionate and creative spirit and to enjoy the ride. The finished (and even the works in progress) continue to astound us all with their beauty and innovation.
This lastest KAL inspired by the autumn season, offered three prizes to all who completed their creations by the end of November: a kit, a membership to the Inspired Knitters Club, and free patterns went to those whose names were drawn but everybody is a winner in this experience. Claire's (Purpleclaire on Ravelry) won the first prize of a kit with her Knit a Peak wallhanging above. Begun at the Knit a Peak workshop in Glossop this November, she created her stunning fall evocative Peak District with waves of short rows, a perfect addition to her collection of wallhangings she launched after reading an issue of the Inspired Knitters Club.

Autumn Moss Cardi
Loren (Twisted1 on Ravelry) from Chicago wins a subscription to the Inspired Knitters Club with her Autumn Moss Cardi based on the Moss Cardi in the Feather&Fan Club evocative guide. And doesn't she wear it well? Of course, I'm more than a little partial to those colors myself.

Turn over a new Leaf
And Susan  (Ragdolls on Ravelry) fashioned this amazing vest, 'Turn Over a New Leaf', from another #5 club issue of the Inspired Knitters Club. Amazing, yes? She'll have her choice of patterns as a prize.
I'll be posting photos of the other entries in the gallery here but if you're eager, you can check out all the entries at www.ravelry.com/discuss/jane-thornley/1351485/26-50

Recent Comments love it. Another stunner. I can think of many dragon color ranges from my boys pokemon card collecting days! Blues eyes White Dragon was everyone's favorite.
