SEPTEMBER STITCHES

In a few weeks I head for Cappadocia so it shouldn't come as a surprize that I've been knitting a vest of the same name. If you remember my latest three-vest collection, Vests from a Turkish Bazaar, you may recall Cappadocia, the original shown in landscape hues of browns and terra cotta. This version is in shades of brown, grey, blue, green and violet and it's going with me to the land of the sultans. Worked on US size 9 using HandMaiden's Mulberry Tussah plus their other silks, Interlacements rayons, cotton and a mix of stash companions, this little vest works with so many things in my wardrobe that I'm thrilled with the result. I've made this one longer and added a button-down front with an optional two-button tab closure. Works for me.
I'm busy making kits up in the same combinations. Stay tuned for this month's newsletter next week. If you love yarn, you'll love Mulberry Tussah.
