NEED A BIT OF SPRING? The Lenten Rose Kit

THE LENTEN ROSE KIT
TREAT YOURSELF.
We need spring badly, we who are winter-worn, and I can't help but think of those climates where spring flowers are already emerging from the thawing soil: daffodils, snowdrops, the lenten rose. The latter flower is endlessly fasinating. Not truly a rose, it emerges from the snow in cooler climes with a delicate flush of rose to green deepening to heart-warming rose-pinks. The color combinations are rare and I've been collecting them for awhile now, finally compiling this special kit. Each kit is different, some slipping into softer, paler, hues and others deepening into a more intense rosy plum. All are exquisite and one of a kind.
Look what's included: 8 different skeins of approximately 600+ yards of medium to light-weight yarns, including
- Blue Heron Rayon Metallic slip-softened by either a fuse of kid silk mohair or a pure silk from Fleece Artist
- Pure Fleece Artist rose silk
- A skein of Tili Tomas beaded silk in a soft green
- A textural mix of mohair or boucle combining the two ethereal shades
- a hand-dyed tape or ribbon
- Hand-dyed cotton melding those exact new-to-the-air shades of blooming growth
- Each kit comes with a pattern of your choice emailed to you in PDF form. I'm recommending Blade, a leaf-shaped scarf in a modified feather & fan. Check Ravelry project page for how this designs works up in other colors. Mix in hues like Lenten Rose to unfurl a coleus-inspired spring scarf or wrap.

Pattern Included in kit unless another is requested
And, I have four coordinating shawl pins to match and/or drop earrings in forest jasper and art glass with antiqued brass drop earwires. The kit alone $165 with free shipping all this month. Earrings and pins are each $35. To order, contact me at Jane@janethornley.com. Visa, Checks, Pay Pal, American Express…all work for me.
