NATURE INSPIRED: AN IPAD VIEW

A bank of blooms, sense of place, a glimpse of hue in yarn or world, all inspires me to knit, paint, create, dream, and I'm forever seeking tools to help me morph a photo into an idea for a yarnscape or design. My camera accompanies me everywhere and sometimes I can be found snapping images for no good reason. Then, days , sometimes years later, I scroll through them on an inspiration hunt.
A tool that helps me morph these photos into a design is a real treat. I found the perfect ap for my Ipad called Moodboard that allows you to mix photos and virtual paint chips for a digital inspiration journal. I'm smitten with the paintchip idea. You can literally make a chip of any color and create little groupings as an overlay for your photo. Talk about fun. I've made so many of these boards and find myself referring to them in workshops on inspiration journaling or even color foraging.
Below a moodboard for the wrapuana design.
