Knitting Under a Mango Moon ...2011

knitting_under_a_mango_moon_2011_512

Both the safari and the Ocean Streams version of the Not-a-Poncho have moons. Prophetic, don't you think? In this version, to be knit exclusively with Mango Moon yarns, I'm just loving the colors—all sunset over Napal with a huge harvest moon brimming over the horizon. I began with Dharma recycled silk moving up into Merci Me tape which comes in the loveliest natural hues and then began adding mountainous ranges of Chakra beaded yarn and the yummy new yarn Mango just added to it's repetoire.

You can still join us. we meet on the lake in Northern Michighan during harvest time and knit on the porch or in the lounge while chatting as if we've known one another forever. Mango Moon brings all their yarns, a virtual knitter's feast spread in lux abandon across the tables. My hubby, John, serves as Hairy-legged Swift extraordinaire by winding all the yarn you purchase so as to keep you knitting rather than winding. Fabulous. Fun. Relaxing and delicious—wait until you see the food!

Recent Comments I am delighted to find that you also write. I've been following your knitting site and was so happy that your novel is about an angel in New Orleans, well, maybe not "about" an angel, but it's in the title, so... I've visited New Orleans several times (Just 3) visiting my brother when he lived there and we combed through the cemeteries. That's where I found the angel who was sobbing with her head covered in grief for the passing of her sister. It was so moving that I have the photo framed in our hall. She's beautiful. Couldn't wait to order your book! Thanks!
