BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE

Ausrtralian coast
Minus 17 C here today with a windchill of minus 22. Do you blame me for dreaming of warmer climes? This is the kind of weather when pipes burst, some cars refuse to start and the street lights crank off duty in disgust. Looking outside, all I see is COLD so, naturally, I turn inward and dream in color.
These last few days, I've been working on my three excursions this year: Turkey, Knitaly and Santa Fe, all of which take place in ideal weather conditions with plenty of panoramic high-definition color all around. Helps to warm me. The details are ready, if you'd like to check them out. Just click on the links in the index at the side of this screen. Meanwhile, what are you knitting to keep you warm? How about:

The Berber Jacket
The Berber Jacket features double knitting, stranding two colors at a time across the piece. Bound to keep you warm and a thrill to see how different hues create a mosaic-like effect. Click here for details: http://www.janethornley.com/patterns_coats.html#13
Or:
