For me, colour and texture rule and most of the inspiration feeding my imagination comes from the natural world. I see knitting as art, as viable as any other, and no matter what the tool or preferred palette, in human hands, magic happens.

My Little Vestalong—The Final Chapter: Making the Front Bands

front_bands_512

Did you think I'd left you hanging without final instructions as to how to finish your vest? Well, I did but there was a method in my apparent lapse. My hope was that you'd figure it out for yourself if I left it long enough, which is part of free-range knitting. Confidence, risk-taking. Most knitters do know how do do these things but lack the confidence to proceed without someone else's endorsement. We were trained that way, in most cases. But think about it: based on what I've alrteady shown here, how would…

Dear freerange vestalongers (now, that's awkward), are you excited about being so close to the end of your creation? Many of you have emailed me anticipating where we're going next. Actually, you do have a choice. You could do your front bands next or do as I have done by finishing the bottom…

Recent Comments Superior web site. Nice commenting system. I'm sorry for the off-topic write-up, but I had been really fascinated with Djokovic's play in the final of the Australia OPen this year. The guy is simply unbeatable. He revealed he had been as sturdy as stainlesss steel. Simply think about he he can overcome Nadal who was so encouraged to succeed as well as was really so pumped up during the fifth set. I'm beginning to feel that Djokovic has been doing some spiritual work to bring some forces on his side that help him secure these matches up against the finest players in the planet buy essay or college paper. Any idea what about Rafa's game?
