For me, colour and texture rule and most of the inspiration feeding my imagination comes from the natural world. I see knitting as art, as viable as any other, and no matter what the tool or preferred palette, in human hands, magic happens.

FAVORITE LINKS

FAVOURITE PERIODICALS: http://www.selvedge.org  This periodical is so far away from mass media knit magazines that it creates a category of it's own. For serious textile enthusiasts, artists and those looking for design background articles with an illuminating perspective. Every issue is a keeper.

FAVOURITE DESIGNERS:

http://ilgaleja.com/: A personal friend whose passion for knitting is only one of the many threads that connect us, her designs are both classically elegant and exciting.

http://yarnartist.blogspot.com/Ellene Warner knows downtown Hollywood. Even though she's worked with the stars, this lady is as down to planet earth as a creative spirit can be.

www.tradewindknits.com  Anyone not know Lucy Neatby? A fellow Nova Scotian and a designer/teacher extraordinaire, there isn't anything Lucy can't teach you. Check out her DVD's.

FAVOURITE YARN SOURCES

www.SandraSingh.com : Sandra sells lovely yarns plus my patterns, too.

Recent Comments I am delighted to find that you also write. I've been following your knitting site and was so happy that your novel is about an angel in New Orleans, well, maybe not "about" an angel, but it's in the title, so... I've visited New Orleans several times (Just 3) visiting my brother when he lived there and we combed through the cemeteries. That's where I found the angel who was sobbing with her head covered in grief for the passing of her sister. It was so moving that I have the photo framed in our hall. She's beautiful. Couldn't wait to order your book! Thanks!
